Somewhere
One does not live in a neutral, white space. One lives, dies, and loves in a square, cropped, variegated space, with bright and dark areas, unevennesses, steps, depressions and humpiness, with some regions hard and others brittle, penetrable, porous.

SOMEWHERE was born from a reflection on how the spaces in which we live condition human relationships and how much, some of them can intensify bodies’ sense of loneliness and their possible relational voids. Starting from a research on heterotopias-non-places we asked ourselves what happens to us and what mechanisms of relationship we put in place when we find ourselves connected in these spaces, which today by their characteristics feed alienation, individualism, speed, desolation, depersonalization, noise. We are parallel existences that sometimes deviate intersecting in actual or illusory encounters, perceiving the Other from our own inner boundary. Inevitably they attract each other and come to relate between the visible and the invisible. They let themselves be “touched” by a glance, they exchange the rhythm of steps but not the personal existing real and imaginary path. They re-construct a common language with imperfect choruses, living gestures from the fragile balance between resonances and differences. They seek new paths. They reach so many everywhere and so many nowhere losing themselves between shadowy cracks and expanses of light, following a time out of time. Where Are They?
SOMEWHERE is meant to be a statement of hope that I and the Other, monads in the same system, can recognize each other, find each other and welcome each other, anywhere… somewhere.
Non si vive in uno spazio neutro e bianco. Si vive, si muore, si ama in uno spazio quadrettato, ritagliato, variegato, con zone luminose e zone buie, dislivelli, scalini, avvallamenti e gibbosità, con alcune regioni dure e altre friabili, penetrabili, porose. Michel Foucault SOMEWHERE nasce da una riflessione su come gli spazi in cui viviamo condizionino le relazioni umane e quanto, alcuni di questi possano intensificare il senso di solitudine dei corpi e i loro possibili vuoti relazionali. Partendo da una ricerca sulle eterotopie-non luoghi ci siamo chieste cosa ci accade e che meccanismi di relazione mettiamo in atto quando ci troviamo connesse in questi spazi, che oggi per le loro caratteristiche alimentano alienazione, individualismo, velocità, desolazione, spersonalizzazione, rumore. Siamo esistenze parallele che talvolta deviano intersecandosi in incontri effettivi o illusori, che percepiscono l’Altro a partire dal proprio confine interiore. Inevitabilmente si attraggono e arrivano a relazionarsi tra il visibile e l’invisibile. Si lasciano “toccare” da uno sguardo, si scambiano il ritmo dei passi ma non il personale esistente cammino reale e immaginario. Ri-costruiscono un linguaggio comune con cori imperfetti, gesti vivi dal fragile equilibrio tra risonanze e differenze. Cercano nuovi sentieri. Raggiungono tanti ovunque e tanti da nessuna parte perdendosi tra crepe ombrose e distese di luce, seguendo un tempo fuori dal tempo. Dove Sono? SOMEWHERE vuole essere una dichiarazione di speranza che io e l’Altro, monadi nello stesso sistema, possiamo riconoscerci, ritrovarci e accoglierci reciprocamente, ovunque… da qualche parte.
