The performance Coming to matter is one of the evolutions of the Pleasure rocks research, which has been exploring for years forms of re-signification of pleasure in the relationship between human and non-human. It is a space of encounter and intra-action of matter, between human bodies and stones. Entering into relationship with the stones is an act of care: I do not move but I am movedə, I do not choose but I am chosenə, I do not move but I am movedə, in a continuous reconfiguration of the gesture. The perception of chronological time shifts and dilates: a meditative state, a dynamic stillness, is generated. The human gradually subtracts, in a process of decentralization.

“Together with Haraway, we might ask: whom and what do we touch when we touch electrons? (…) In a breathtakingly intimate sense, touching, sensing, is what matter does, or rather, what matter is: matter is condensations of response-ability. Touching is a matter of response. Each of “us” is constituted in response-ability. Each of “us” is constituted as responsible for the other, as being in touch with the other.”
